Fee flow

Where protocol revenue goes: part buys back and burns the Quanta token, part fills the index treasury that opens new markets, and part runs operations

The DEX charges a fee when an order fills, and that is the only place a fee is charged (Fees). What Quanta earns from its markets is protocol revenue. This page follows that revenue after it is earned. It splits three ways, and one of the three feeds straight back into the next market.

Three destinations

Buyback and burn. Part of protocol revenue buys the Quanta token on the open market and destroys it (The Quanta token).

The index treasury. Part is set aside for the next market. A market costs real money before its first trade: liquidity has to stand on both sides of the book, continuously, before market orders switch on, and a dedicated insurance fund has to be in place to absorb any loss beyond a liquidated position's margin (Market safeguards). The treasury pays for both. Quanta funds the first market, and each market after it is funded by the revenue the earlier ones bring in. Each market's listing information names who provides its liquidity.

Operations. Part keeps the machine running: the index engine that reads the sales data and computes every level, the oracle that delivers the index to the matching engine at least once per second from redundant publishers, the archive that lets anyone recompute an index (Data and API), and the team that keeps all of it accurate.

The token's own trading tax sits outside this flow. It goes into the token's liquidity pool (The Quanta token).

The loop

Start at the top. Good indexes bring traders, because a price that is clean and hard to move is a price worth a position. Traders bring fees. Fees pay for the burn and for the next market. The next market brings the next wave of traders. Trading pays for its own expansion: each new category opens on revenue rather than fresh capital, and the board of tradable markets grows at the pace revenue sets. The loop runs on the quality of the indexes, which is the part we build every day.

The order in which the pieces arrive is on the Roadmap.
